This site demonstrates a system designed for community-engaged and experiential learning exercises focused on the collection of geographic information and related media. The example map above shows two structured content types, each of which describes a geographic location or area, that are managed by this demo system. The map is designed to query and load a concise description of all content (a.k.a. structured documents) of these types published on the site and depict each interactively: Dissemination Area (DA) boundaries from Statistics Canada and "documented locations" - a locally defined content type - comparing evidence of uniformity in housing density within DA. Click on dissemination areas or documented locations on the map to see additional information and to link to detailed displays for each content element. The DA displays don't really provide additional detail in this example but demonstrate the idea of an information model composed of multiple content types and the map as a one view of data within a content management system.
